Cons of having Pet Parrots

Parrots can be really dreadful pet if you do not have enough time to take care of it. They need your time and attention unlike any other pet bird which can be left in cages on its own.

Parrots create real mess so if you are the one who like cleanliness every where in your home, you should give up your idea of buying parrots a second thought. It does not matter if they are locked up in cage; they still know how to create untidiness. They are in habit of throwing parts of their foo

d away from cages. So you do not have to keep the cage clean but also the floor around the cage. Otherwise you may find pieces of seeds, nuts and fruits on your floor. You might have to scratch the sticky food parts from your floor or from the cage bars.

Another worst problem with this pet bird is their poop. They hav

e no manners to poop at one specific location. Instead they will poop in every other place inside their cage which includes their food utensils, their toys and even their sleeping place. Sometimes they poop near the bars of cages which may also dirty your floor.

The cockatiel or the gray breed variety of parrots has some powder on their feathers which make that stick on several places. You will have to clean them up as well by scrubbing the places.

You need to keep your precious things away from parrots as these are in bad habit of chewing everything. They chew the toys which you gift them, especially wooden toys. They even try to chew up your clothes, books and even furniture. So if you are planning to keep them out of cage, you need to have a strict check at them.

If you are the one who loves cleanliness, parrot is definitely not your pet. If you have delicate furniture at home, stay parrots away. Be careful with wearing jewelry because they will sure to grab it or chew it. Parrots love shiny things. They can claw the stone right out of your favorite jewelry. In short, these parrots can be kept only at such places where it is easy to clean up their mess.
